The Citizen Innovation Lab are delighted that Síolta Glasa, our follow-on project to Decarbonising Together, has been selected as one of 19 large-scale interdisciplinary Ignite projects to be funded through Creative Climate Action Fund II – Agents for Change.
Following the success of the first Creative Climate Action Fund in 2021; the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media in collaboration with the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications and the Department of the Taoiseach announced the successful recipients of the €5.8 million Creative Climate Action Fund II in July. This Creative Ireland programme supports creative, cultural and artistic projects that build awareness around climate change and empower citizens to make meaningful change.
Síolta Glasa is a Citizen Innovation Lab collaboration between Limerick City and County Council, University of Limerick, Mary Immaculate College, Ballyhoura Development, Fab Lab Limerick and mentors Javier Buron Garcia and Dr. Veronica Santorum. The project will support community-creative partnerships to build capacity around decarbonisation in Limerick city and county.
Applications for Síolta Glasa will launch later this year and the project will run to 2025.
Update: Applications are available here, on MyPoint.Limerick.ie, and open until Tuesday, Feb 6th at 5pm.
