Try an Ebike Day

Try an Ebike Day

Calling Castletroy!

You may have seen people riding some funny-looking bikes around Castletroy over the last few months. The Inclusive Sustainable Cycling (ISCycle) project based at the University of Limerick is exploring inclusive e-bike use with a goal is to reduce traffic congestion in Castletroy.

ISCycle are looking for parents with children under 12 to participate, as we have lots of different bikes, bike seats, bike trailers and other equipment for moving a parent and one or more children about. The project are hosting an open day to try the ISCycle bikes this Saturday 17 June from 2-4pm in the Stables Courtyard (behind the bus stop) at UL.

Up to now we have been recruiting people from the UL community, but later this year we are extending the project to other workplaces in the Castletroy area and anyone who is interested in trying an ebike is welcome to come along.

If you have any questions, please email iscycle@ul.ie

The ISCycle project is supported with financial contribution from the Sustainable Energy Authority Ireland and the Department of Transport under the SEAI National Energy Research, Development and Demonstration Funding Programme 2021 (Grant Number 21/RDD/736).
