Community mapping is a way to crowd-source information and ideas from local people and community groups. People are invited to share information by selecting a place on a common map, and then the collected ideas are visible for everyone to see. The +CityxChange project developed a mapping tool to give people in Limerick the opportunity to share ideas on the energy transition.
Completed Mapping Projects
People in Limerick have been using the mapping tool to gather ideas from their own communities. The tool allows people to bring ideas together and then share them in a transparent way. Here we showcase some of the mapping projects completed in Limerick.
Various community mapping projects:
- Mapping Limerick Laneways,
- Mapping Solar Potential in Limerick,
- Safe routes to school in Limerick,
- King’s Island Energy,
- A Future Bikeshare Scheme For Limerick
